Arts & Crafts Style
The transition from Victorian to the Arts & Crafts style came about as the Art Nouveau movement received only a passing glance from wicker designers. The design of Dryad wicker in England ushered in a comfortable yet austere design that became the theme of Gustav Stickley's mission style furniture. There was great popularity for a more rustic look and areas like Bar Harbor, Cape Cod, Newport and the Hamptons all had their influence in the various looks of this new more home style wicker.
