Art Deco Style
The Art Deco movement influenced wicker design during the 1920's. Fluid lines, sculpted arms and pedestal table bases became more prominent in wicker showrooms.
Much of the art deco wicker was machine made. Upholstery and painted color schemes became popular. The introduction of dining furniture, lamps, porch swings and all manner of accessories made it possible to outfit the entire house in woven furniture. The distinctive look of the Art Deco movement influenced some of the most timeless designs seen in wicker today.
